Belly pob progress

The belly pod is coming on, the front aerodynamic shaping is rather becoming a very interesting concept.

Everyone working really hard to get it to the stage where it will be made available to other people who interested in developing one for their use to change lives.

We are currently working out the best way to brace the different parts in order to not compromise airflow over the oil radiator and the drop materials when being. dropped out.

Finally, our bellypod has gotten to the stage where, we are able to offer up without having to reposition clecos, that are hindering smooth fitting on the belly of the plane, in order to see how the project is coming.

I was very pleased to see the youngsters in the workshop, working through all the different stages of the pod which is involving hard work and determination to enable good results which will help boost the drops of health related materials into the rural communities.

These ladies are looking forward to working in the coming few days, to completing the next stage of the pod for mounting onto the aircraft and its functionality for full demonstration.

The students were very proud today showing officials the bellypod which is under development.
They demonstrated to the officials how the pod will work when is fully constructed and in production.

As part of the visit, a demo-drop was organized for them to demonstrate the attitude at which these drops will done at when the pod is finished and operational for the live drops.

The students also went on to explain the reasons why we want to use the bellypod on our metal planes and not tube and cloth. That is to improve upon aerodynamics during flight,load capacity and durability.

"Team" work

We started training these young ladies three years ago, and they are just at the point where we are able to split them into teams for the different jobs.

Today, the ladies did very well on separate jobs in different locations. One group worked on the door for the drop hatch system and the second group worked on getting AE back onto her wheels after three months of waiting for her parts to arrive from India.

More progress on the bellpod

Today, we have been able to manufacture the bellypod prototype in wood and mounted it onto the belly of the plane.

We also started calculating the strength of the bolt and nut needed to mount the pod in order to spread the load evenly without stress points which will result in failure down the line.

The Ladies provided valid points towards the production of this artifact.
